Lots of whipped cream

When the leaves start falling off the trees and turning different shades of red and orange, you’ll put on your favorite sweater and realize that it's that time of year again. Making some tasty pumpkin pie is the perfect way to top off and celebrate the beginning of the fall season. An old family recipe, this pie will satisfy all of your fall cravings.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, mix all of the dry ingredients together in a bowl. In a separate bowl crack two large eggs, 1 15oz. can of (Libby’s) 100% pure pumpkin, and 1 12oz. can of evaporated milk. Slowly, stir in the dry ingredients or sugar spice mix into the large bowl with the stirred eggs. Once that mixture is all combined into one, slowly add in the evaporated milk. Continuously, stir the milk into the bowl until everything is combined into one.

Pour the pie filling into the pre-made crust. Cook the pie at 425 degrees for only about 20 minutes, and then turn the oven down to about 350 degrees and cook it for about 40 minutes. Insert a knife into the center of the pie. If it comes out clean, the pie is finished baking.

Let the pie cool for around 2 hours before serving it. An optional, but crucial step in my opinion, is topping your pie with a fluffy, sweet pile of whipped cream.. I know once you make this pie, you will enjoy it just as my family has enjoyed it for many years. Get baking and Happy Halloween!
