Field Hawkey
Girls Field Hockey currently have a record of 3-3-1 under head coach Ahyodha ‘Fuzzy’ Kishna. The team has faced adversity with a tough schedule pitting them against some of the toughest teams in the state including Hudson, HB, and Olentangy Liberty. The Hawks look to improve on the rest of the season. The young roster that has 20 players and features a shocking 13 underclassmen is starting to find its legs.The team is led by sole senior captain and veteran goalkeeper Serena Singerman as well as junior captain Lauren Wiertel. After a 7-0 smashing of Orange on 9/24 in which 3rd captain Heather Arslanian (junior) netted a school record 6 goals, the Hawks will be looking confidently on to their next game at home against Laurel on 9/25. As the playoffs come nearer, the young team will need to gel in order to make a run in the tough Northeast Ohio bracket.
