Onto the Next SET of Matches

This year's senior-heavy volleyball team has enjoyed great success. The 8-8 Hawks are led by an incredible 10 seniors including captains Violet Giglio, Tammy Jackson, and Oriana Zup. The seasoned team will look to capitalize on its experiences as they head into the latter stages of a season which started off with a 5-0 record. This perfect start was roughed up a bit by an increase in schedule difficulty including losses to top teams like Beachwood and Howland, but the team will be looking to bounce back as playoffs start in about two weeks. Capitan Violet Giglio comments on the goal before playoffs being, “we are hoping to come together as one cohesive unit and fight for every point and every game.” This hopeful team will look to close out some of its final matches of the season including a showdown against West G (Oct. 3) for senior night and a tough matchup at home against Chagrin Falls. Hopes are high for this volleyball squad as they march toward a strong postseason run with a renewed sense of team spirit.
